Unique atmosphere and beautiful surroundings is something what you can for sure experience if you are going to attend in Sommernachtskonzert. On 29th May the Vienna Philharmonic, headed by a conductor Christoph Eschenbach presented to Viennese audience as well as  to guests from all over the world, a concert at the highest level. The Schönbrunn Palace and its baroque gardens which are on the world heritage list of UNESCO, provide a unique setting for this musical event every year. There is no charge for entry and no possibility of seats reservations.

The Vienna Philharmonic - the most important orchestra in Austria and one of the most significant in the world. Date of its beginnings is March 28, 1842, when Otto Nicolai, together with the Imperial Opera started to organize philharmonic 
orchestra concerts. Since 1933, the orchestra has no permanent conductor, although it hosts conductors of  worldwide renown.

Christoph Eschenbach - born 1940 in Breslau (now Wroclaw, Poland) is a pianist and a conductor. In Washington he's a music director of the National Symphony Orchestra and the John F. Kennedy Center. A description of his interesting music career, you will find here
